We provided €50 million under the Macro-Financial Assistance to the country, to which we will add €22.5 million in grants by the end of July.
With this disbursement, Moldova will be able to cover some of its immediate financing needs and keep the pace with the reforms. Moldova also signed the Joint Procurement Agreement in the area of health, joining forces with the EU and other participating countries in case of a serious health threat. Starting now, the country will benefit from the EU Member States’ and participating countries’ combined purchasing power to buy essential supplies, such as medicines and medical equipment in a health emergency.
